The guide includes a convenient timer and a shake trainer, which aids in mastering the technique of effectively dislodging mites from bees by shaking the sugar-coated container with precision.

The straightforward three-step MiteCheck survey requires just a brief amount of time and contributes to enhancing the collective understanding of Varroa mite infestation rates nationwide within the beekeeping community. The Bee Informed Partnership leverages the information derived from the MiteCheck app to produce interactive heat maps that visually represent Varroa mite infestations across the United States, offering beekeepers a user-friendly overview of prevalent infestation areas.
